
Vicki T. Deemer passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in the comfort of her home, comforted by the love of her family and friends.
Vicki was born in Evanston, Illinois, on November 12, 1945. She was the daughter of Philip and Bernice VanLinden. She grew up in Chicago and graduated from Saint Gregory High School. Vicki moved to Michigan with her family in 1969. She grew to love Michigan, and was happy to raise her children here. Vicki loved books, movies, the beach, slots, gardening, good times at Miller Lake and sports, especially when her children and grandchildren were involved. Travel was also one of her favorite things. She traveled to Europe twice and all over the USA, as well as several weekend excursions with her grandchildren. She loved lighthouses and saw as many as she could around the beautiful Michigan shoreline. Her greatest love was for her family.
Surviving family includes, brothers, Phil (Janet) VanLinden and Jim (Michaelle) VanLinden, nephew Jay VanLinden, niece Noelle VanLinden; daughter, Stacy Welcher; grandson, Tyler (Sarah) Welcher; granddaughter, Brandilee Welcher; son, Steven (Mikkii) Deemer; granddaughters, Jessica (Ashley) Krumm, Stephanie (Ryan) Brown and Megan (Chad) Bouwman; grandson, Brandon Bruischart; daughter, Sandy (Cliff Deems) Deemer; son, Scott (Cameron Whiteman) Deemer; 15 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, granddogs and grandcats. She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Michael Welcher, whom she adored.
Friends may meet with Vicki’s family from 6-8 PM, Monday, October 24, 2022, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at St. Margaret Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Simon Manjooran officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Margaret Cemetery in Otsego. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Vicki may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
