
Steve passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his home in Otsego.
He was born December 31, 1957 in Kalamazoo the son of Robert Sr. and Dolores (Clugston) Staley. Steve proudly served his country in the U.S Army. He worked maintenance for an apartment complex in Kalamazoo and was also a longtime union painter.
In his spare time Steve enjoyed growing plants, working on cars, painting and listening to rock & roll music. He liked spending time and keeping in touch with his family. On September 13, 2002 in Allegan he married Anna Town who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Shyla (Jack) Brown of Stockbridge, Chelsey (Dustin) Staley, Brittany Staley and Benjamin (Crystal) Staley all of Lansing; 3 step-children; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; mother, Dolores Staley of Delton; siblings, Jeff and Jerry Staley both of Florida along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, son, Jesse and siblings, Bob Staley Jr. and Joy Duane.
Friends may visit with Steve’s family starting at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., with celebrant Nyla Merrill officiating.
Burial will follow at East Hickory Corners Cemetery.
Military Honors by Otsego VFW Post #3030.
Contributions in memory of Steve may be made to Disabled American Veterans or the Otsego VFW Post #3030 Memorial Brick Program.
