Saralise

Alise passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, July 30, 2020.

She was born June 24, 2007 in Kalamazoo the daughter of John and Jennifer (Mena) Perry. Alise attended Plainwell Public Schools through 6th grade and had transferred to Otsego Middle School this past year.

She had a kind, curious and adventurous spirit and enjoyed tinkering and taking things apart. Alise loved all animals, especially her pets, Bella, Delta, Hazel and Sahara. She had a huge heart and was caring towards others, always protecting the underdog. She liked being active in sports and the outdoors and loved the water.

Surviving are her parents, Jennifer (Mark Piersma) Perry and John Perry both of Otsego; 2 sisters, Jordan Perry of Kalamazoo and Kaylee Perry of Otsego; grandparents, Jane and Gorge Mena and Tim and Kandie Perry; aunts and uncles, Angie (Jason) VanDenBerg, Rick (Mallory) Mena, Christina Mena, Sandra (Matthew) Christensen, Steven (Emily) Mena, Corey Mena, Shannon (Jack) Fritz, Joe Perry and Lon Bair along with many cousins.

School friends and classmates may visit with Alise’s family from 12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at the outdoor pavilion at Peace Lutheran Church of Otsego. Family friends may visit stating at 1:00 P.M. until the time of the celebration of life at 2:00 P.M., with Celebrant MaryAnn DeVries officiating.

Everyone attending is encouraged to wear summer attire. Please also wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.

Contributions in memory of Alise may be made to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or the Animal Rescue Project.

    Jen I can’t imagine what you must be going through… My heart breaks for you and your family. Losing a child is something I just cannot comprehend and I wish I had the words to comfort you……. My only hopes are that you trust in the Lord to help you through this……. Lean on your family and friends and please don’t hesitate to reach out.     i will miss saralise. i dont know her that well but i was a friend to her she always make me laugh when i talk to her i only got to hang out with her like one but those it was really fun and im greatful i got to meet her and see how kind so was to everyone and im sorry for your loss, so will always be remember by so many for kind heart and sweet personality.

    Dear Perry family,

    I picked up my daughter (Sarah Lagenour) from school today and she said she overheard someone talking about Saralise and how she had passed away. Sarah was heartbroken when she heard the news. I too am heartbroken. Seems like just yesterday our girls were at the indoor inflatable bounce house park. I have pictures and videos of the girls giggling the entire time. She will be missed!
