William D. Welch

William D. Welch, 64, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025. Bill, also lovingly known as “Fid” by family and friends, was born at home on April 11, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, to Gail and Nancy Welch. Bill enjoyed life and he loved being outside. He loved hunting and fishing and collecting anything, “Mr. Collecto”. If he wasn’t busy with hunting, fishing or with his dog, Jaeger, he was swinging his nunchucks—he was the master of nunchucks. Bill was so loved and will be so missed by his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his mom, Nancy Videnieks of Batesville, AR; beloved daughter Kanisha (Byron) Oisten; brother, Micheal (Scott) Welch; sisters, Susie Curtiss and Vonna (Todd) Anderson; three grandchildren, Byron Jr, Noviah and Tateum; a special long-time friend/partner, Stephanie Oisten; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Jaeger. Bill was preceded in death by his brothers, Patrick and Jesse; brother-in-law, Gary Curtiss; special niece, Patricia (Welch) Jones and stepson, Michael Oisten.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.
