William

William “Bill” Tice

William I. “Bill” Tice of Plainwell, MI passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Wings Home in Allegan. He was born December 11, 1925 in Stone Fort, Illinois, the son of Elza and Sadie (Barnett) Tice. Bill proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Pennsylvania. In his free time he enjoyed his John Deere tractor, gardening, camping, fishing for Coho salmon in Lake Michigan, traveling and spending time at his cabin. Bill was a member of the Otsego VFW Post #3030, Good Sams Camping Club, Otsego Moose Lodge and had been active with the Kalamazoo Baptist Church on Ravine Road. On November 1, 1947 in Sturgis he married Erma Snook who survives. Also surviving are his children, David (Kathi) Tice of Allegan and Wendy (David) Conner of Plainwell; 4 grandchildren, Jeff (Ronda) Conner, Bethany (Rob) Collings, Brian Tice and Amy (Doug) Brink; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Elza Coy Tice. Friends may visit with Bill’s family from 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego where a funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 7, 2018 with Pastor Seth Green officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell. Military Honors by VFW Post #3030. Contributions in memory of Bill may be made to the

My thoughts and prayers are with all of your family, Bill will be greatly missed, but just know that he is at rest with his Master. I always thought of him as my uncle , even though we weren’t related, Bill worked with my dad, Al Hemminger, our family will miss him greatly
