William
William A. Bibart
Bill passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 at his home in Plainwell.
He was born June 14, 1945 in Newark, Ohio, the son of James and Helen (Munkachy) Bibart. Bill graduated from Newark High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his master’s degree from Central Michigan University. For 25 years he had taught business at Garber High School in Essexville until his retirement in 1994.
In his free time Bill enjoyed spending time in the Petoskey area, boating, fishing with his grandchildren, fly fishing, golfing and coaching football and swim. Bill had lived in Essexville for 40 years and was a member of the Bay City Elks.
In 1969 in Henderson, Kentucky he married Karen Bland who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Ashley (Kyle) Nelson of Plainwell, James (Carla) Bibart of Huntington Woods and Allyson (Dave) Rademacher of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jackson, Sofia, William, Aiden and Alex and his siblings, Dick (Lois) Bibart and Mary (Gerry) Billy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place.
A private family gathering will be held at a later time.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Bill. We graduated from Newark High School, Newark, Ohio in 1963. We played baseball for Kaiser in the Babe Ruth League and won the championship in 1960. May GOD comfort this family in this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this time of sorrow.

In so sorry to here the passing of Mr. Bibart. He taught me Accounting at GHS and I remember him allowing me and my friends do a Winnie the Pooh and Tigger bulletin board in his room. I will always remember him fondly. My condolences to his family.

I was shocked and saddened to be looking at the obituary page of the Times for the time of another friends funeral and discover Bill’s. You have Johnlyn’s and my deepest sympathy. I’ll always remember him as the Charley’s Aunt who could do a back flip. His usually calm demeanor and sense of humor will be missed.

I’m very sorry to hear of the death of your loved one, Bill. Although I didn’t know him, I know how real the pain of losing a loved one is. Something that has always brought me comfort and a real hope is the promise found in the Scriptures concerning our deceased loved ones. The Scriptures promise we will see our loved ones again under paradise conditions right here on earth. Notice John 5:28, 29 says: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Yes, they will come out in perfect health to a beautiful new earth in which God promises to “swallow up death forever.” (Isaiah 25:8; 2 Peter 3:13) Until that wonderful time, may you continue to find deep comfort in the “God of all comfort,” Jehovah, and in his wonderful promises for the future. Again, my sincerest condolences are with your family during this very difficult time.

I was sad to see Mr Bibart’s obit here on FB. Just wanted to let you know he was one of the BEST TEACHER’s I had at Garner High school. He was there for me when I was suffering a lot of bullying, and taught me a lot on life. Because of him, the bullying ended. He was such a wonderful man. My condolences and prayers for all who loved him. May he Rest In Peace.

We were so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. It was fun talking to Bill about our vegetable gardens and checking to see how fast everything was growing. Karen, Allison, Ashley, and Jim, Our hearts are heavy learning that Bill has died but we know he’s at peace and no pain with Jesus. Dan treasured the 25 years Bill spent at Garber. He was a teacher that you never had to worry about doing the right thing. He was hilarious in Charley’s Aunt and a great football and swim coach. Curt and Craig both learned to swim from him. We so wish we could see each of me in f you and get a hug from each. Treasure the memories. We will. God hold you all in the palm of His hand.

Saddened at the news of Bill passing. Some of my favorite memories playing Little League and Babe Ruth baseball in Newark include Bill . He was a good ball player and a good friend all through school. His mother was a good friend of my mothers. His uncle Bill Munkachy was a mentor to me. His grandfather taught me much about wood working. Great family. I am so glad I got to see him when he was here for his 50th reunion.

John and I are so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. It is unbelievable sorrowful to lose your spouse. I hope you will be surrounded by your children, grandchildren, family and friends for support.
I have fond memories of Bill at GHS. Being in Charley’s Aunt together was a hoot. Also after school staff gatherings, golfing, end of the year volleyball at my home are long lasting memories of camaraderie I cherish. I am glad to read of the many hobbies Bill enjoyed in retirement.

Bill’s passing brought back so many memories of the good times. Let those memories sustain you as you think of our times up North, ski trips, Springbrook, chaperoning a ski trip of students in 1975, and so many more. He was an outstanding person, a great teacher/coach, and a guy we all loved to be around.
