Virgil L. Gibson

Virgil passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at his home in Plainwell.

He was born January 19, 1927 in Lejunior, Kentucky, the son of Frank and Hanna (Payne) Gibson. Virgil had been an Ironworker with Local 340 for many years.

On July 25, 1945 he married Nellie Seal who passed away in 2002.

Surviving are his daughter, Joyce Gross of Kalamazoo; 2 granddaughters, Brittany Fenner and Angel (Tony) Soldano of Plainwell; 1 grandson, Steve Gross of Kalamazoo, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and niece and caregiver, Pamela Bierema.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Cremation has taken place.

Burial of ashes will take place at Prairieville Cemetery at a later time.
