Timothy S. Lapham

Tim passed away unexpectedly, Friday, August 22, 2025. 

He was born on January 15, 1961, the son of Stuart and Susan (Hall) Lapham. Tim graduated from Lawton High School in 1979. He loved everything about cars and worked painting cars at several area body shops including Tappers Body Shop, Shepard’s Auto Body and Visions Car and Truck Accessories. 

Tim began attending Journey Family Church over 10 years ago with one of his closest friends, Dave Glass. He especially enjoyed serving alongside Tom, the founder of Journey’s SALT Ministry, where he found joy in helping others. If someone was in need, Tim was always looking for a way to lend a hand. He will be remembered for his generosity, quick wit and the way he could always bring a smile or laughter to those around him. 

In 1983 Tim married Sherrie Carr and they were blessed with two children, Krista (Travis Wallace) Lapham and Dustin Lapham. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Thatcher and Saylah; his mother; brothers, Todd and Tom along with nephews, Tyler, Jonathon, Colby, Joshua and Jacob. 

He was preceded in death by his father and Aunt Judy. 

According to his wishes cremation has taken place. 

A celebration of Tim’s life will take place at 11:00 A.M., Monday, September 15, 2025, at Journey Family Church, 514 W. Van Buren St., Gobles, with Pastor Gary Napp officiating.
