Tamara "Tammy" S. Hoppe

Tamara "Tammy" S. Hoppe passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026. Born on January 7, 1960, in Kansas, Tammy was the daughter of Jim and Sue (Van Blarcom) Horrocks. 

Throughout her career, Tammy served as a registered nurse at Bronson Hospital. Her commitment to helping others extended beyond the walls of the hospital. She was an active member of the Otsego VFW Post #3030 auxiliary; Tammy also volunteered on the Otsego Planning Commission. Additionally, she generously volunteered her time during elections.

Tammy was always generous, welcoming and reliable. She found joy in driving her convertible Mustang and riding her motorcycle. She cherished traveling, especially to her condo in Punta Gorda, Florida where she was active in many social groups. She also enjoyed dinners at the Otsego VFW. She loved spending time with her husband, Mike and the rest of her friends and family.

Tammy is survived by her daughter Jenna (Adam) Hoppe-Keith. She also leaves behind siblings, Teresa (Mark) Luke, Tom (Diane) Horrocks, and Tim (Amy) Horrocks; mother and father-in-law Roz and Jerry Hoppe; nieces and nephews, Addy, Nolan, Jason and JT. Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Michael Hoppe.

Friends may visit with the family at Winkel Funeral Home on Thursday, March 26, from 10am until Noon. Funeral to follow at Noon with celebrant Nyla Merrill. A private burial will take place at Mount Ever Rest Cemetery in Kalamazoo, the following day.
