Susie F. Curtiss

Susie Frances Curtiss went to be with her Lord peacefully surrounded by her family at home on May 4, 2026. Susie was born on January 23, 1960, in Elgin, Illinois, to Gail and Nancy Welch. On May 11, 2008, she married the love of her life, Gary Len Curtiss, who preceded her in death on June 18, 2022. Susie worked for JM Wilson Corp. for 36 years; she was so proud of her career. She enjoyed Dollar General penny shopping, garage sales and morel mushroom hunting. She also loved to donate to Christian Neighbors, the Gospel Mission and pet rescues as well as many other places. 

She is survived by her son, John Joseph Grasser Jr. of Marengo, Illinois; her mother, Nancy Videnieks of Batesville, Arkansas; siblings, Mike (Scott) Welch also of Batesville and Vonna (Todd) Anderson of Otsego; the Curtiss family of Allegan, Otsego and Plainwell along with many nieces and nephews. Susie was preceded in death by her father; and brothers, Patrick, William “Fid” and Jesse.
