Shirley A. Moore

Shirley Ann Moore (nee Chapman) passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Thornapple Manor in Hastings, Michigan, at the age of 90.

She was born on November 30, 1935, in Wayland, Michigan, to Frank and Dorthy Boss Chapman. Shirley was a loving mother survived by her children, Tim (Robin) Moore, Kathy (Bob) Vist, Robin (David) Reynolds, Steve (Kathy) Moore and Vicki LaFleur. She was also survived by her 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Barb Schwab and Bonnie Larsh and grandsons, BJ Vist and Tyler Moore. 

Shirley attended Wayland Schools for primary education and graduated from Allegan High School in 1972. She dedicated 36 years of her life to the Martin Township Library. Shirley was a funny, kind and very helpful person who loved to crochet and read books. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and they were one of her most important parts of her life. 

According to her wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.

In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Shirley may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Michigan Chapter.
