SAMUEL JAMES SCHEIBE
Forty-Two Years, Seven Months and Two Days
on Earth
An Eternity In Heaven
Samuel James Scheibe entered this world on Tuesday, 12 October 1982, to Patty née Steinbrecher and Rick Scheibe in Milwaukee. He was baptized by the Rev. Curtis Jahn into the Christian faith on Sunday, 31 October 1982, at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Sam was confirmed in his faith at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brillion, Wisconsin, on Sunday, 27 April 1997. He then enrolled at Michigan Lutheran Seminary of Saginaw, graduating in 2001. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Wayland. He was employed by Harding’s of Wayland at the time of his death.
Sam is survived by Remy and Emma Cornell, Isaac Scheibe, and a sister. He is further survived by his parents, one nephew, an aunt, cousins, and many friends. He loved his Savior, his dogs, Harding’s, Legos, the Detroit Tigers, and the Thirteen Time World Champion Green Bay Packers.
He now enjoys the Church Triumphant for an eternity with his Savior from sin and death in heaven, free from cancer and pain. His screams of pain have turned into shouts of praise.
Sam’s earthly remains will await the resurrection of all flesh on the Last Day, when Jesus shall call forth from the grave all the dead and give to those who believe in Him the final redemption of body and soul, reuniting both for everlasting righteousness, innocence and blessedness. To God alone be the glory now and forever.
Memorials may be given to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Michigan Lutheran Seminary, or Rose Arbor. You may use a memorial envelope, and the church will forward your memorial where you intend it to go. Sam requested no flowers; he’s not that kind of guy.
Visitation is on Monday, 19 May 2025, 5:00pm to 8:00pm and on Tuesday, 20 May 2025, at 10:00am. The Worship Service for Christian Funeral follows the morning visitation at 11:00am with Pastor Stephen J Otto, presiding. All events are at Trinity Lutheran Church of Wayland, 1235 – 135th Avenue, Wayland.
The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans wrote: What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God – through Jesus Christ our Lord! (7.24,25). The Apostle John was directed by the Lord Jesus to write these words: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on (Revelation 14.13).
May God bless us all so that at last we are united in the heavenly realms with family and friends in Christ Jesus our Lord, to praise Him for forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation. Amen.
