Ruth Ann M. Melwiki

Ruth Ann passed away, Sunday, January 28, 2024, at her home in Plainwell. 

She was born February 19, 1935, in Munising, the daughter of Ensio and Ruby (Savoie) Korvela. For 32 years she worked at Borgess Medical Center until her retirement. In her free time Ruth Ann liked working in her garden and flowers. She loved her family fiercely and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. On March 9, 1954, in Munising, she married Jospeh Melwiki who survives. 

Also surviving are her children, Michael J. Melwiki of Plainwell, Joseph Jr. (Diane) Melwiki of Cooper and Paul E. (Amy) Melwiki of Cooper; 6 grandchildren, Kerrie (Aaron), Jeremy, Kyle, Jenna, Amanda and Benjamin; son-in-law, Tom Campbell and sister, Linda Seeger. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Kathy Campbell and Timmothy Melwiki; grandson, James Elwood Kohl and brother-in-law, Fred Seeger. 

According to her wishes cremation has taken place. 

Burial of ashes will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later time.
