First I would like to extend our deepest and most sincere sympathy to Bob’s wife Marty, Janice and Don, Janet and Bryan and families along with Rob’s family. We are so sorry for you loss. Bob has been a very good friend for many years. And we have shared many many great times with Bob and Marty. We spent countless hours up at our cabin in Luther Mushrooming and playing Backwards Rummy,Yahtzee, and poker. We would have many good times out booze cruising in our younger days while checking different woods out for mushrooms down in the Allegan area.We used to go on Color Tours in the U.P. And would go to the Car Shows and the Big Semi Truck Show every year in Saint Ignace. In our earlier years we used to get together and go to the local pub here in Plainwell the Picadilly on either Friday or Saturday nights. We used to go to the Ionia Free fair yearly until the Soaring Eagle casino opened up in Mount Pleasant. And then for some reason we would be going to the fair and end up at the casino. And when we went to the cabin we always ended up taking a trip to Little River Casino and then went back to the cabin to play cards.. And before all of this we would go to the horse races over at Jackson.Oh how he loved that. We always had good times. And one thing myself I will never forget that Bob said to me many years ago he know I felt uncomfortable going into their home because Dan was once he and Marty’s brother in law. Is that I would always be welcome in their home that Dan and I were family. That made me feel so good. And I will never ever forget those kind words. I am going to miss Bob and my yearly bets on the Otsego- Vicksburg football game. I believe this was going to be your year to win.”Thank God for Great Friends and Good Memories” “because that is what Bob and Marty have been to us.We are going to miss you dear friend May you Rest in Peace from now into Eternity.

Oh how the good memories keep flooding our minds. We also recall a great memory of when we held Bob and Marty’s 25th wedding anniversary at our house. How surprised they both were. And the reaction and comment that I won’t mention that Bob said about my potato salad. You see I had a very clean very nice unused bedpan that I put my potato salad in.I won’t mention what he said. I think that everybody that really knew Bob could just imagine what he said and you would most likely be right. And another time we had a Party over at our house in our drinking days and we had a bowl of hard boiled eggs on our bar downstairs. Well Bob took one of those hard boiled eggs and hit my sister on the head. And low and behold it hadn’t been hard boiled and it ran all down my sister’s head down onto her face. Little did anyone know that Dan had put one egg in that bowl that wasn’t hard boiled. Bob and my sister were both in shock. Not to mention how Dan felt. Oh how the good memories keep pouring in. We are going to miss you dear friend.

My sympathy to Bob wife Marty and his family. memories of Bob are great and such a caring person. He took my grandson James(8) under his wings and showed him how to weed whip at the campgrounds, James never has forgotten about that to this day. Bob through the years I have never forgotten you, I will miss you , but the memories are with me. I know you will be mowing God’s lawns for him. Miss you my dear friend.

To my loving sister Marty :Janice and Jannet and Cheryl.. I love you and your children are in my thoughts I wish more than anything I could be there. I would wrap my arms around you. Have a good laugh with you have a cry with you and talk about all the fun things that we did as children going up playing in Hopkins Bob and Marty. i We had a good time seeing all the sights that were to see California. We even took in Mexico. We love going to the horse races. We love going out to some of the bars for happy hour. Too many memories to put down on this paper.
