In Loving Memory of Rickie Lee Jones II December 26, 1975 – July 29, 2025

Some people live loud. Rickie lived steady. With quiet strength, a kind heart, and a deep love for his family and for God, Rickie Lee Jones II left a mark that can’t be measured by volume, but by the depth of the love he gave, and the love that now surrounds his memory.

Born the day after Christmas in 1975, Rickie was a gift to everyone who knew him. He was the kind of man who didn’t speak just to speak, but when he did, you listened. His laugh, warm, easy, and honest, didn’t boom through the room, but it made you feel at home. He carried himself with calm, with purpose, and with a heart that always leaned toward compassion.

Rickie was a man of quiet strength, quick wit, and endless heart. A talented journeyman machinist by trade, he was the kind of person who could fix almost anything, and if he couldn’t, he’d find a way to learn. But more than what he did, it was how he loved that defined him.

He was a reader, a thinker, and a bit of a nerd in the best way. Fascinated by the world, he was always eager to share what he was learning with those around him.

He adored his family. He wasn’t just a husband or a dad; he was a safe place, a warm hug, and a listening ear. Rickie loved fully and without condition. Even in conflict, he never ended a conversation without saying “I love you.” He was not a man of hatred. He was a man of grace, and those who knew him felt that gentleness and acceptance in every interaction.

Rickie worked as a journeyman machinist at Lightning Machine, where his attention to detail and work ethic were deeply respected. But his greatest work was always in how he loved: wholly, without condition, and without hesitation. If you needed something, help, support, a prayer, or just someone to sit beside you, Rickie showed up.

He is survived by his wife Meg, the love of his life and constant companion, and by their five incredible children: Christian, Hailey, Ella, Molly, and London, who each carry a piece of his quiet courage and deep kindness. He is also survived by his father Rickie Jones; his siblings Shannon, Sissy (Mike), Joey (Stacy), and Terri (Denny); 13 nephews, 9 nieces, 4 great-nephews, 1 great-niece, and a new little family member on the way, who will grow up hearing the best kind of stories about Uncle Rickie.

Rickie was reunited in Heaven with his mother Sharon (Kaylor), his stepfather Phil, his big brother Butch, and many more loved ones he missed deeply and now rests with in peace.

Above all, Rickie was a man of quiet faith and unwavering character. He didn’t seek the spotlight. He didn’t ask for recognition. He simply lived with integrity, loved with intention, and followed God with his whole heart.

A celebration of Rickie’s life will be held on August 8th from 5–8 PM at Cultivate Community Church, 4872 136th Ave, Hamilton, MI 49419. All are welcome to come as they are and help honor the man who meant so much to so many.

If you wish to support Rickie’s family during this time, a GoFundMe has been created here: https://gofund.me/86cb2af1

Rickie may have walked through life quietly, but the love he gave, and the way he made people feel, will echo for generations.
