Nancy Kaiser was called home by her Heavenly Father on May 31, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
A devoted wife, nurturing mother, and gentle soul, Nancy lived a life defined by quiet strength, deep faith, and an open heart. For 53 years, she shared a loving marriage with her one true love, James Kaiser, who affectionately called her “Poopsie.” Together, they built a home filled with devotion, laughter, and enduring love.
Born on December 21, 1947, Nancy was adopted as an infant and carried throughout her life a longing to understand her beginnings. After decades of searching with grace and perseverance, she joyfully reunited with her biological family—a homecoming that brought her profound peace and spiritual fulfillment.
Nancy was part of the first graduating class at Spring Lake High School (Lakers) in 1965. She attended Hillsdale College and graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education (math and science). She remained a lifelong learner.
She had a special passion for Egyptian history, a love for homemaking, and a deep appreciation for the quiet beauty of country life. Her creativity and elegance earned her the affectionate nickname “Fancy Nancy,” a title she wore with humor and pride.
Nancy’s life was rooted in faith. She believed in kindness, humility, and the promise of God’s eternal home. She lived each day with purpose, always seeking to help others, always believing in the goodness around her.
Nancy is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy of love, compassion, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, James, married on May 6, 1972, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake, and again on their 50th anniversary in 2022 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her son: Benjamin (Phoebe) Kaiser and their children, Maximilian and Alexander; her son Joseph (Anneliese) Kaiser and their children, Nicholas and Johanna; her son Andrew (Teresa) Kaiser and their children, Baylie, Samantha, and Addison; her daughter Jennifer Kaiser and her son Daniel Kaiser. She is also remembered by her siblings, Dennis Dvorak, Albert Skok, and Arthur Paeth, along with several nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her biological parents, Julia Brdar of Cleveland and Albert Lauerhass; grandson, Gabriel whom she now embraces once again in heaven and brothers, Paul Paeth and Elvin Skok of Cleveland.
