Mary M. Carroll

Mary M. Carroll passed away on November 5, 2026, at Beacon Health in Kalamazoo. She was born on May 11, 1965, in Bloomingdale, the daughter of Bruce and Mary (O'Brien) Hammon.

Mary was a graduate of Otsego High School, class of 1982. Over the years, she worked at K-Mart, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Mac Aluminum. She was a proud Democrat and found joy in simple pleasures, especially playing cards and spending time with her pets. Most of all, she loved her family, who remained at the center of her life.

On November 27, 1993, at the Gun Plain Conservation Club she married Daniel Carroll who survives.

Also surviving are her children, Daniel Carroll of Plainwell and Marcie (John Clark) Carroll of Kalamazoo; stepchildren, Heather (Tim) Christman and Melanie (Pete) Mulder; 6 step grandchildren; brothers, Bruce and Brian Hammon, Dan and Dennis Warner; her cousin, Jerry Langdon, who was like a brother to her and her lifelong friend, Robert Plum.

She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, Donna Carroll, and by her siblings Don Warner, David Warner, and Darcy Warner.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Bloomingdale Cemetery at a later time.

In memory of Mary, honor her by doing something she would have encouraged: exercise your right to vote or show kindness to an animal in need.
