Martha E. Simpson, passed away on June 2, 2026, at Wings of Hope Hospice House in Allegan, Michigan. She was born on September 18, 1938, in Cheshire Township, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Ruth (Mudgett) Trustch.
Throughout her long career, a dedicated custodian who served the Allegan school system for an impressive 31 years Martha contributed tirelessly to the educational community, ensuring that schools were welcoming and well cared for until her retirement in 2005. Beyond her professional life, she found joy in the simple pleasures of gardening and cherished moments of relaxation during her leisure time.
Martha’s legacy lives on through her family. She is lovingly remembered by her sons Harold Simpson of Holland and Mark (Yolanda) Simpson of Otsego. She also leaves behind one grandson, Tim Simpson, four step-grandchildren, and many step great-grandchildren. Lets not forget her faithful puppies; Cade, Digger, and Po. Martha was predeceased by her son Larry, daughter Ruth, brother Harold Trustch, and sister Betty Nichols, all of whom she is now reunited with in peace.
A graveside service to honor Martha’s life will be held on June 12, 2026, from 2:00 at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego, Michigan. Family, friends, and community members are welcome to attend this service.
