Marjory F. Newton
Margie passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at her home in Otsego.
She was born February 22, 1929 in Otsego, the daughter of Clair and Alice (Warner) Town. For over 15 years Margie worked as a kitchen aide at Otsego Public Schools. In her free time she enjoyed collecting dolls, embroidering pillowcases and taking care of her family. On August 20, 1977 in Otsego she married Herbert Newton who passed away in 2017.
Surviving are her children, Dave Mannes, Barb Cowen, Jerry (Lauri) Connor, Mary (Jay) Smith, Raymond (Trish) Connor, Danny (Diane) Connor, Rick (Renee) Newton, Robin (David) Hughes and Sara Connor; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Bill (Pat) Town, Raymond Town, Terry (Linda) Town and Peg (Bill) Simpson along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.
Burial of ashes will take place at Mountain Home Cemetery.
Contributions in memory of Margie may be made to
Wings of Hope Hospice.

We lost our matriarch of our family.
I know if I was to talk to her she would tell me “Raymond, you take care of those boys”

I love your mom so much, she was the sweetest woman you would ever meet. I didn’t visit as often as I should but she was always in my thoughts. it is going to be a rough time, but hold on to the fun times and the precious memories you hold. Hold tight to the family and keep her memories alive. Love you all for sure. Take care of y’all.
