Lonnie Doolittle passed away May 23, 2026, in Kalamazoo. Lonnie was born on April 29, 1962, the son of Lorraine (Allen) and Lester Doolittle, in Kalamazoo.

Lonnie worked as a care center coordinator at Borgess Hospital for more than 30 years, retiring in 2018. He was also known to work more than one job at a time. Some of those side jobs included a limousine business, vending machines, even making and selling tamales and chili dog sauce. He also had many hobbies. Lonnie enjoyed golf, bowling, and cooking. He also pitched for several area softball teams. Lonnie married Judy (Remenar) on November 20, 1989, they shared 36 loving years together.

Lonnie is survived, by his wife, brothers Jeff (Joan) Doolittle, Jimmy (Amanda) Doolittle, several nieces and nephews, and extended family. Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 2 at 11:00 A.M., with service to follow at 1:00 P.M., with Monsignor Michael Hazard officiating at Winkel Funeral Home in Otsego.
