Linda S. Thompson

Linda S. Thompson passed away July 14, 2026, at Beacon Hospital in Kalamazoo. The daughter of Bert and Della (Myers) Miller. Linda was born July 5, 1948, in Allegan, MI.

She was a 1966 graduate of Allegan High School. While living in New Jersey, Linda worked for Santa’s Best, making tinsel and Christmas items for a short time, before returning to Michigan. Linda was a woman of strong faith and believed in guardian angels. She was an active member of St. Margaret Catholic Church in Otsego where she was part of the prayer chain and helped with funeral luncheons. She loved to travel, enjoyed cruising, and taking day trips in their Camaro. But most of all, Linda enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. On November 1, 1974, she married Thomas Thompson, who survives. 

Also surviving are her children, Lori (Scott) Lathrop of Plainwell, Andrew (Chrystal) Thompson of Plainwell, and Kristofer Thompson of Adrian; her 5 grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Amanda, Drew and Nevaeh; 5 great grandchildren Asa, Peyton, Layla, Lucas and Alana; siblings, Judy Smalls, Danny Miller, and Debbie McCarty along with several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

A rosary service will take place at 4:30 P.M., Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Winkel Funeral Home, followed by a time of visiting with Linda’s family from 5-7 P.M. Cremation will follow. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 31, 2026, at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Otsego, with Rev. Fr. Simon Manjooran officiating.
