Larry L. Crawford Sr.

Larry passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his home in Otsego.

He was born February 2, 1944 in Kalamazoo, the son of Frank and Mable (Phillips) Crawford. Larry worked at Allied Paper for many years and had owned and operated Otsego Glass until his retirement in 2004.

Larry enjoyed racing stock cars and loved all sports, especially bowling, golfing and softball. He was a board member for the Otsego Township Planning Commission for many years. On March 31, 1962 at Oakwood Bible Church he married Sandra Cushing who survives.

Also surviving are his children, Randy (Jody) Crawford, Annette (Dave) Mathis and Chris (Cheryl) Crawford; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and brother, Francis Crawford of Gobles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Larry Crawford Jr. and by his brother, Fred Crawford.

Friends may visit with Larry’s family from 2-3 PM, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Winkel Funeral Home, where a private family funeral service will take place at 3:00 P.M., with Pastor Kenneth Smeader officiating.

Burial will take place at 4:00 P.M. at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego.

In accordance with Covid -19 guidelines a limit of 25 people at a time will be allowed and masks and social distancing will be required.

Larry was a great husband, father, grand parent. And friend the lord has received another Angle. As you watch over us in heaven. You are greatly missed. But never will be forgotten. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to say I was lucky enough to meet you. R. I. P my friend. I miss you.

Dear Aunt Sandy, Randy, Annette, Chris and to each of your spouses and families,

Our heartfelt sympathy is with each of you. We are so saddened by the news. I know Uncle Larry will be missed by many and remembered by all who have met him and made memories with him. His big kind heart and his unending attempts at humor will always be cherished. Heaven has their hands full with his spirited personality! I’m sure he and Dad are already cracking one another up. May you all be blessed with peace of mind in knowing he is with our Heavenly Father.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Larry was always so nice to me when I would see him at your family events. I will think of him every year when Andrea and I are making the divinity fudge…..we always made sure he got some. Prayers for you all.

I am so sorry to hear about Larry’s passing! I was welcomed into his family for 30 years and Senior was more like a father to me than anything else! Pops was always there for anyone that needed him for anything at all! He will be missed by all. Rest in peace Old Man! I love ya!
