Larry W. Harness passed away on August 23, 2025, at Wings Home in Allegan. He was born on November 12, 1954, in Kalamazoo, the son of Leo and Maxine (Davidson) Harness.
Larry dedicated a significant part of his life to his career as an electrician. In 1976, he expanded his service to the community by becoming an Auxiliary Police Officer. Beyond his work in the electrical field and law enforcement, Larry was known for his passion for entertainment, operating a karaoke business, Audio Magic, that brought joy to many for several years.
Larry’s contributions to his community extended beyond his professional life. He was actively involved with the Boy Scouts, serving as a Cub Master. His dedication to history was evident in his service through the Otsego Area Historical Society for the past 15 years, where he currently served as the co-chair, promoting local heritage and culture.
An avid wrestling fan, Larry was one of the founders of the Destroyers Wrestling Club, a testament to his love for the sport and his desire to foster athleticism in others. On August 4, 1973, in Kalamazoo he married Bethany Fuseek who survives.
Also surviving are his two sons, Larry Wayne (Katie) Harness and Robert (Sarah) Harness, both of Wisconsin, and three grandchildren, Carla, Noah, and Kenedeigh and his sisters, Linda, Sherrie, and Dawn.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place.
Friends may visit with Larry’s family starting at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 6, 2025, at At The Master’s Feet Discipleship Ministry, 814 21st St., Otsego, until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Ray Brown officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Larry may be directed to the Otsego Historical Museum or to Wings Home of Allegan.
