Kenneth W. Kling

Ken passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 at Allegan County Medical Care Community.

He was born June 16, 1932 in Plainwell the son of William and Rose (Winters) Kling. Ken worked at Rockwell International in Allegan for 36 years. After his retirement he went to work at Boylan Sales for 16 years.

He enjoyed antique cars, especially Ford Falcons, going to car shows and swap meets, working in the woods, cutting wood and camping at Schnable Lake for 16 years. Ken was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Otsego.

On June 13, 1975 he married Shirley Norris who survives.

Also surviving are his children, Randy Kling, Roger (Genia) Kling and Dale Kling; step-son, Steven Norris; 7 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, William and Arthur Kling; sisters, Myrtle Bolton, Loretta Harder, Norma Bolton and Crystal Somervill and by his step-son, James Norris.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

Friends may visit with Ken’s family starting at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Peace Lutheran Church of Otsego until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 with Pastor Nathaniel Timmermann officiating.

A private family burial of ashes will take place at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego.

Contributions in memory of Ken may be made to Peace Lutheran Church of Otsego.

ken was a great father-in-law and at times very funny. I will never forget camping with him, certain people will know what I’m talking about. rest in peace ken

grandpa was amazing I loved going out to the campground with him and all the times spent together was amazing cutting wood together and driving on his golf cart ect. I had so much fun with him I wish I had spent more time with him I love you grandpa you will always be missed and loved but never forgotten thank you for everything

Mom (Shirley), Dale, Steve, Randy and Roger I am so sorry for your loss. I was fortunate enough to be a part of Dad’s (Ken’s) life. He was a wonderful man, and will be missed by many. RIP DAD

My heart is filled with sadness for the loss of your Husband an Father, Ken was a good hard working man,and loved his family with all his heart .He taught his boys to be strong hard working men also. I pray your hearts be filled with all the wonderful memories you shared..He will be greatly missed by all that were Blessed to have known him.
