Kenneth R. Marshall, passed away on July 6, 2025, at Beacon Health in Kalamazoo, at the age of 79. Born on April 8, 1946, in Battle Creek, Ken led a life dedicated to service, community, and the pursuit of his passions.
For 40 years, Ken served as a devoted police officer for Kalamazoo County, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the community he served. He retired from the force in 2011, leaving behind a legacy marked by integrity and commitment.
Beyond his professional life, Ken had a remarkable affinity for drag racing. He loved everything about the sport and spent countless hours traveling, living out his passion for high-speed excitement. This enthusiastic hobby was much more than a pastime; it was a defining part of who he was, bringing joy and adventure to his life.
Ken leaves behind his beloved wife, Sarah Evans, whom he married in 2011. Together, they shared moments of happiness and companionship that will be cherished forever. He is also survived by his son, Robert Marshall; grandchildren, Samantha Marshall, Draven Marshall, and Heaven (Timothy) Barchette and several great-grandchildren.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Marshall and his sister, Linda.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place.
