Kalamazoo

Kathy passed peacefully on July 3, 2025, at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. She was born on July 21, 1952, in Kalamazoo to Fredrick and Shirley (Haynes) Miller.

A proud graduate of Otsego High School, class of 1970, Kathy embarked on a career that showcased her brilliance and dedication. She worked at several companies including Stryker, Upjohn, and Pharmacia, ultimately spending 25 years at Pfizer. Her career took a meaningful turn when she dedicated herself to the YWCA of Kalamazoo, where she continued to impact many lives.

Kathy had many hobbies and interests. She enjoyed boating on Gun Lake, where she created lasting memories with friends and family. Kathy was an accomplished Mary Kay consultant and had a passion for clothing and cosmetics.

Kathy was a devoted wife to her husband, Thomas Camp, whom she married on June 6, 1970. Their union was marked by love, respect, and a commitment to family. Together, they raised two children, Carrie (Justin) Powell and T.J. Camp, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Kathy cherished her role as a grandmother to her grandchildren: Castyn Camp, Cole Camp, Brynn Whelan, and Cade Powell. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she relished every moment spent with them.

Also surviving are her beloved mother, Shirley Miller; her siblings, Joleene Knight and Christine Terpstra; as well as several nieces and nephews who will carry her memory with them always. She was preceded in death by her father, Fredrick Miller.
