Kathleen J. Grigsby

Kathleen Josephine Grigsby passed away in her parents’ arms Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

Kathleen was born November 27, 2019, the eldest twin daughter of Codie and Nora Grigsby. Despite her short time with her family, she loved being read to by her dad and sang to by her mom. Kathleen was incredibly strong with the sweetest disposition. She was their cuddler and their little pixie.

Kathleen will be forever remembered and loved by her parents; twin sister, Matilda Marie; grandparents, James and Patricia Holland and Kurt Grigsby; great-grandmother, Marie Holland; aunts, Maureen Shagonaby, Chris (Scott) Bovia, Sarah (Russ) Morris and Barb Holland along with many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Kathleen Grigsby and great-grandparents, John and Matilda Shagonaby, Norm and Esther Grigsby, James Holland Sr. and Mike and Eileen O’Brien.

Friends may visit with Kathleen’s family from 5-7 PM, Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 19, 2019 at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Wayland.

Burial will follow at the Gun Lake Tribal Cemetery with a luncheon following at the Luella Collins Community Center.

Contributions in memory of Kathleen may be made to the

Necrotizing Enterocolitis Society

(NEC).

Nora and Codie, and the to all the family – No words can take away the pain of losing a child. Just know that you are surrounded by a community who love you and pray for your little bug..She is one of the little angels now with Jesus in Heaven. Our prayers will be lifted up for you.
