Kathleen L. Brock

Kathy Brock passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2026, at Beacon Hospital in Kalamazoo. 

She was born on August 22, 1956, to Walter and Vivian (Walters) Reed, in Plainwell. Kathy graduated from Otsego High School in 1974 and proudly served her country in the US Navy. She then attended beauty school and opened her own hair salon in Otsego, later operating out of her home.

Kathy enjoyed doing puzzles, yardwork, bird watching, reading, and taking care of animals. She also liked doing arts and crafts, including ceramics and pottery. She took pride in keeping her house clean and organized. She was a member of the Otsego American Legion, where she held leadership roles. In November 1994, she married Ronnie Brock, who survives. 

Also surviving are her stepson, Ronnie Brock Jr.; her siblings, twin sister Karin (Al) Laws, Larry (Sherri) Reed, and Loren (Cynthia) Reed, along with 21 nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law and sister-in-law, Debbie. According to her wishes cremation has taken place.

Friends may visit with Kathy’s family from noon-3pm on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Winkel Funeral Home in Otsego. 

Burial of ashes with military honors will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery.
