Sorry to learn of this. My late husband and I met Karen thru Nancy Heilig. We shared visits and meals with Karen and the Heilig’s. I like to think that they are all chatting in heaven and looking out for us. Condolences to her family and friends. Sorry but was unaware she was at Wings Of Hope Hospice in Allegan.

Tom, Susan and David, What a delight your mom was. I enjoyed hearing of her time with you all and spending a bit of time with her myself. She was strong and decisive, caring and giving to so many others. Our small town has benefited greatly from her talents and we are so happy she chose Plainwell to settle in so long ago. My friendship with Tom and getting to know both of you, I count as blessings. Know you are always welcome here. God bless you all.

We were very sorry to hear of Karen’s passing. She was good friends with my mother, Noreen Farmer. We have some nice pictures of them on their trip together to Maine and New York. We made a donation to Wings of Hope in her Name. She will be missed.

I personally did not get to meet Karen, but I worked with her sister Lynn for 36 years.

I am sure that Karen was as exceptional as Lynn always told me that she was, as she was Lynn’s best friend, besides being a wonderful big sister.

My wife Trudy and my thoughts and prayers go out to Lynn and the entire family.
