So sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing . I remember him well from hs he was a bit ahead of us, as in we were freshman he was a sr . Iam relatively sure he and my husband knew each other from Rockwell also, Dan worked there from graduation in 59 to leaving it in the late 80’s. Both my parents worked there also , mom in the office Dad was a tool and die maker, Dan was an industrial engineer. For years that place was a family, but it did change somewhat over the years . Jerry was always a good man, he will be missed by all who knew him. Condolences to family and friends.

Dear Gramps, I don’t have the words to describe how amazing you were when I first introduced myself. You were so happy, giggles at the nights of fun card games. Every-time we come visit you would say “hey dude, how are ya” an great goodbyes of: you guys take care. You loved telling funny stories about all good memories. I always enjoyed watching the love/laughter you had with everyone but for most your lovely wife. The both shared the funny side which would make me happy. You will be missed greatly and you’ll be here in spirit snuggled up with your Great- Grandchild rocking in your chair with a smile. You’ve touched so many of us an we love you. Rest in peace now

Tell Tyler, I can’t wait to meet him someday.

Your truly Russell M Fam

When I think of Uncle Jerry, I think of his smile, and I can still hear his laughter whenever he got together with his siblings. He always seemed happy and ready for mischief. He brought joy to our big Burd family and will be forever missed. My heart breaks for his immediate family and the void he leaves behind. Rest in peace Uncle Jerry. We love you.

Grandpa, you were literally one of the best people I have ever known. Losing you is difficult, but I know you will always be there to help me when times are tough. I’ll never forget our camping trips, road trips, playing cards, having you help me build a birdhouse, talking coins together and having you teach me survival skills if I ever got stranded in the woods lol I know you will be my daughter’s guardian angel and she is so lucky that you will be watching over her. I love you grandpa and there is not a day that goes by that I won’t miss you.

Dear Aunt Cheryl, Michelle, Gary, and family, I am so very sorry for your loss ! Uncle Jerry was so fun to watch while on our Burd family reunion camping / canoeing trips up north. He always brought comedy and humor with you folks and it made those trips wonderful memories for me! I used to love watching him gamble at casino too, because he seemed to so intent on winning. Uncle Jerry you will be truly missed and I hope you have a wonderful reunion up in heaven !!!❤️
