Jeffrey J King

Jeff passed away, Monday, July 8, 2024, at his home in Kalamazoo. 

He was born June 18, 1964, in Detroit, the son of John and Marilynn (Postema) King. Jeff had done neon sign work in California and Michigan and most recently was a millwright with Local 1102. 

He loved spending time with his son, Brodie, working on cars, souping up engines and listening to rock music. Jeff was outgoing, stubborn, was not afraid to be loud or politically incorrect. He loved bringing joy to people and making them laugh. 

Surviving are his son, Brodie King; his grandsons, Aubrey and Ryder; his mother, Marilynn King; siblings, Joni King and John King II along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Jason King and by his father, John. 

According to his wishes cremation has taken place. 

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held from 1-4 PM. Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Gun River Conservation Club with a time of sharing memories starting at 1 PM. 

Contributions in memory of Jeff may be made to a scholarship for his son Brodie with checks written to Erin Smith.
