Jason C. Bailey

Gobles

Jason C. Bailey passed away unexpectedly at his home in Gobles on June 9, 2025. He was born on May 11, 1975, the son of Michael and Nancy (Rector) Bailey.

He was a 1993 Otsego High School graduate. Jason embarked on his professional journey right after high school, beginning his career at D&D Decorating. His dedication, passion, and hard work led him to purchase the business in 2004, where he continued to thrive and contribute to the community.

An active and adventurous spirit, Jason loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed time on his boat, traveling to new places, hiking through nature, golfing, and BBQing with friends and family. His enthusiasm for fireworks brightened many gatherings, and his remarkable sense of humor made people laugh, creating lasting bonds with those who knew him. Jason was an avid U of M Wolverines and Detroit Lions fan. He was also a valued member of the South Haven Moose Lodge, where he built friendships and shared good times.

Jason married Amy Moerman in 2000, and they shared 18 years and a daughter, Kayla together. Even though their union ended they remained good friends.

Jason is survived by his daughter, Kayla (Brent Leach) Bailey of Gobles; his mother, Nancy (Roger) Zeluff of Kalamazoo; his father, Michael Bailey of Florida; his brother, Brandon Bailey of Alto, as well as by a niece and nephew and many cousins.

Cremation has taken place.

Friends may visit with Jason's family starting at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Restoration Church in Alamo, until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Todd Meert officiating.
