Janis K. Sisco

Janis Kay Sisco passed away on December 21, 2025, at the Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. 

She was born on November 25, 1946, in Detroit to Burdette and Caroline (Sproul) Kozin. In her early years, Jan enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and canning. As time went on, she found delight in feeding and watching the birds. Jan had a heart for giving to family and friends and those in need.

Surviving are her daughters, Julie (Parry) Miller and April (Storm) Hiscock; grandchildren, Chelsea (Kyle) and Erika, great-grandchildren Kira and Leo; siblings, David (Linda) Kozin, Jonathan (Karen) Kozin, and Susan (Reed) Mosier; niece and nephews, Jonathan, Joel (Brenda) , David Jr. (Missy) and Natalie (Lou), as well as her great nieces and nephews, Aubree, Austin, Auria, William, Annalise (Steven), Merritt, Mae, Rosemary, and Noah and close friends, Kerry Albertson and Cindy Waletzko.

She was preceded in death by her parents and love of her life, Michael.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
