James W. Burchette

Jim passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at his home in Otsego.

He was born October 7, 1943 in Kalamazoo, the son of Max and Vernice (Roebuck) Burchette. For many years Jim had worked for the Department of Public Works in Otsego.

He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and loved to read, especially old western novels.

On February 26, 1965 in Otsego he married Patricia Warner who survives.

Also surviving are his children, James Vist of Arizona, Duwayne Burchette of Decatur and Danielle Burchette of Plainwell; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; his siblings, Carmen Raymond, Richard Burchette, Francis Stephenson and Kay Evans and his dog, Mazie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Floyd and siblings, Pete Sivits and Mary Ann Miner.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

A graveside service will be held at 9:30 A.M., Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego Township.
