James L. Selby

Jim passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

He was born July 2, 1967 in Plainwell, the son of Milton and Henrietta (Keech) Selby. Jim was a mechanic for several area businesses over the years. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. Jim enjoyed being outdoors and taking trips up north and out west to go hunting with his family and friends. He had a big and loud personality and liked riding his motorcycle, playing poker on the weekends and watching movies. Most of all Jim loved spending time and spoiling his grandchildren.

Surviving are his children, Ashlee (Robert) Rose and Tyler (Angel) Selby both of Otsego; grandchildren, Remington and Maverick; best friend, Peggy Selby; siblings, Marilyn (Glen) Rice, Dave (Annette) Selby, Kelly Selby, Candy (Tom)Burress and Mick Selby along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

He will be greatly missed. Best sense of humor. Could find a joke almost anywhere. Best brother you could have. He was always there if you needed him. We look forward to seeing him in Jehovah’s new system of things. Until we meet again he will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Jim was a great guy who would do anything to help out. He always knew how to make you laugh. Whenever he was near you knew it because he was such a big personality. We are devastated to hear of his passing. Our hearts go out to his family during this difficult time. Peggy and kids; you are in our thoughts & prayers.

Jim would stop in to Rhino’s from time to time, he always was fun to talk to and you never had to worry what he thought because he would tell you! I’ll miss that, he was one of the good guys.

Uncle Jim was a great guy he helped work on our bikes when we needed it and always could make you laugh definitely the life of any party and someone who you would want in your corner I would say rest in piece but I know ur up there tearing up that Harley , the fast the better
