Jack passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the U of M Health West in Wyoming. He was born on June 20, 1938, in Delton, the son of Robert and Katie (Whittmore) Schricker. Jack lived a full and vibrant life, dedicated to his family, who he cherished more than anything.

For over 30 years, Jack worked at Kal Equip until his retirement, where his hard work and dedication were well respected by all who knew him. A proud veteran, he served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force, which further exemplified his commitment to service and community.

Jack was a man who embraced life with positivity and joy. He married Nancy Gwilliams on December 6, 1974, in Otsego, creating a partnership that brought him immense happiness. His love for Nancy was apparent in everything he did, and their shared interests brought them countless wonderful memories. Jack enjoyed skiing with Nancy and taking trips to Aspen.

He found great joy in golfing, riding his bike, playing tennis, fishing, boating, and spending time on the water. Spending winters in Florida became a cherished tradition for Jack and Nancy. Throughout his life, he maintained a very positive outlook, a zest for life and always knew how to have fun.

Jack is survived by his children: Jackie (Mark) Covault of Otsego, Ronnie Hicks of Allegan, Steven Hicks of Allegan, and Catherine (Joe) Tobin of Plainwell. He was a proud grandfather to Jennifer, Troy, Angie, and Shannon, and he also leaves behind many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, sisters Sharon (Jim) Witters and Shirley (Chet) Babrick and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Nancy, his infant son Kimbel, and his brother Jerry Schricker.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

Burial of ashes for both Jack and Nancy will take place at 2:30 PM, Monday, September 8, 2025, at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta.
