Irene passed away, Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Alamo Nursing Home. She was born March 27, 1932, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Steven and Mary (Karaszi) Bodnar. On October 2, 1948, she married DeVon Culver in Kalamazoo. Surviving are her children, Jaci Wilson of Otsego, Nancy (John) Fahrne of Shelbyville and Pat (Walt) Schmitt of Alamo; daughters-in-law Barb Culver and Cindy Culver; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, David and James; 12 siblings and a grandson.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest North Cemetery in Kalamazoo.
