Helen E. Kingsbury

Helen went to be with her Lord Sunday, November 8, 2020.

She was born September 4, 1926 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Edward and Ruby (Price) Ordiway. Helen was a lifelong resident of Alamo Township. She was a hard worker and enjoyed taking care of the garden, her home and her family.

On June 28, 1945 in Kalamazoo she married William Kingsbury who passed away in 2007.

Surviving are her children, William (Sonja) Kingsbury of Bronson, Ruby Boers of Plainwell, Gerry Crockett of Wisconsin, Helen Casey of Florida and John (Nicolle) Kingsbury of Alamo; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Onalee Potter of Alamo along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Heidi Kingsbury; son-in-law, John Boers and siblings, Raymond, Edward “Jay” and Dorothy.

A graveside service will take place at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Alamo Center Cemetery with Pastor BJ Luce officiating. Those attending may bring a chair.

Contributions in memory of Helen may be made to Valley View Bible Church.

My condolences to the Kingsbury family. It’s been a long time since we were kids but I have warm memories of the times our families spent together in the MI UP. I hope you have those memories, too, and that your good and happy memories will help you thru this hard time. My best wishes to you all.
