I am so sorry for your loss. Words can not express how Hazel will be missed. She was a very special woman. Her kindness and compassion for others was exceptional. She is actually the person that first got me interested in quilting. I saw the quilt she entered at the the fair and won the awards and talked with her about it. She encouraged me to give it a try. She was so sweet when I lost my father, coming to me to give me words of encouragement in private at work. She will be truly missed. Prayers to all the family at this time.

My family and I have known Hazel for over 30 yrs mostly through family gatherings and special events. She was the prototypical matriarch of the McPherson clan and a true inspiration to those around her.
She will be missed.

Mother Hazel was a quality person who in her quiet way commanded the respect of anyone who knew her. For those of us who had the opportunity to be around her we could only aspire to be of the same mold some day. She was and will continue to be an influence in all our lives. I am personally blessed to have known and to have had the opportunity to work with her.

Dear McPherson family
We are so very sorry for your loss. Hazel was an example for us all to follow. Love of family, hard work, such an amazing seamstress, and an unsinkable spirit. The last few times I saw her in the last few years she was still full of life And Her sweet smile was heart warming. She was always so kind to me. She has left a wonderful legacy in our community. So sorry we cannot be there for her service as we are in Florida.
Love, Lorna and Craig

To the McPherson Family…
My sincere condolences for your family’s loss. What a wonderful life lived. What an example to all. My dad, Gilbert Jennings, had great respect for both Bud and Hazel, adored them both and cherished their friendship. I had limited experience with both of them but when I did have the opportunity, I can recall how kind Bud was and how gracious and loving Hazel was. Two amazing, hard-working, kind and generous people. I know my mom and dad are greeting them in Heaven.

So sorry to learn of Hazel’s passing. She was one of the “Grand Ladies” of Otsego. But what a wonderful long life she had. And what a good friend to my Uncle Elmer and Aunt Buke.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
