God saw that he was getting tired and a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around him and He whispered, “Come home with me”. With tearful eyes we watched him and saw him pass away; although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard- working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Am so sorry Janet to read about Greg. Way too young for one’s life to be ended. I remember his being so happy with his pickup he was driving when he parked it over by Agility Health. I even took a picture of his special plate on the front. Think it said: “ Like New”. And I remember sharing a holiday meal with you both over at Sally Smecka’s home. Be kind and gentle with yourself as you navigate these unchartered waters of widowhood and a ‘new normal’ that isn’t normal. My heart goes out to you and your family. ❤️

Jan and family,
Much sympathy and love is extended to you dear friends in the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather. It is so heartwarming to know how much Greg loved our Lord and Savior. You could see it in his smile and the twinkle in his eyes when he would speak of our Heavenly Father. Even though your hearts are heavy and you grieve his earthy loss, I know with the deep faith you all have, you also rejoice as you hear in your mind God’s welcoming words to your loved one, “Welcome Greg. Job well done good and faithful servant.” God bless you.

We were saddened this morning when Bill Brennan called to inform us that Greg had passed. Bill has been faithfully keeping us informed of Greg’s condition since he first went into the hospital. I went into to see Greg on 10/17/18 and it upset me to see him in that condition. He was not able to speak, only whisper, and I had a difficult time understanding him but I could see that he was very uncomfortable. Greg and I worked together at Parker for many years and no one worked harder, nor was more dedicated to doing a good job than Greg. We have been praying that Greg would recover, but God had a better plan for him. Janice, we pray that God gives you His comfort and peace in this very difficult time. Greg will be missed.

With sadness in hearts and on this earth- but rejoicing in the heavens that they are receiving such a special angel! Although I have only met Greg a few times; I have known Rob and Michelle for about 25 years, I know Greg was a wonderful man because there has been much conversation through the years! May our dear Lord place his arms around all those he has touched and give them strength and peace at this time. Bless you, prayers and love to the family, Dennis, Susan & Carley Hopkins

Janet and Family, Dan and I want to extend our deepest and most sincere sympathy to you and you entire family. Greg was a great person. I can remember the first time I met him. Jan and Greg bought our house over on Grant Street in Otsego. I do believe it was the first home they bought. And he definitely made a great impression on both of us. I worked with Jan at Parker Hannifin and after they started their family they were both dedicated to each other as well as their family to make their lives together a happy, joyous adventure. We only have seen Greg and Jan in stores and on the street in passing each other. But he always went out of his way to speak to us. I know that he will be missed by many and my heart and prayers goes out to the family. May you Rest in Peace now and forever Greg.

You have our deepest sympathy with the loss of Greg. He loved our Lord so much and shared that with everyone he knew. Last I seen Greg he was telling of his upcoming surgery and said he just didn’t know how people faced the unpleasant things in life if they didn’t know the Lord. I know how much his physical being here on earth will be missed, but I also know with the strong faith all the Martin’s have they know he isn’t suffering anymore and he is with God. Jan and family you are in our thoughts and prayers through your time of grief..Love All of You.

Jan, Andrew & Jenny & Family,
My prayers are with you all. Greg is an amazing man who truly loves his SAVIOR JESUS! He was always ready to be used by the LORD in any capacity. His heart was pure and he has a very genuine soul. It has been a blessing to me to be able to share several ministry opportunities with him as well as your family. You are and always will have a very special place in my heart. Hold fast to the promises of GOD knowing that HE will NEVER FAIL you just as HE NEVER failed Greg.
You are anchored to the KING OF GLORY and I know that HE will give you strength and peace that surpasses all understanding in the days to come. Greg is singing with the angels now and has been embraced by the LION of the TRIBE of JUDAH! He is healed, He is strong, He is whole and He is in your future! For there will come a day when the LORD shall return for those of us that are alive and remaining and what a glorious day that shall be.
Well done brother in CHRIST….well done! Sending our love & prayers to you Jan and your family.

So so sorry to hear of Greg’s passing. He was a blessing to many, and we (Allegan SDA) always looked forward to Tuesday bible study, as Greg would be there, handing me a CD and asking me to play it for him at the end of the study, and he would get up to the microphone and sing for us. What a joy that was!
May God bring you peace and comfort. Tthoughts and prayers to the family.
