Gerald R. Cross

Gerald passed away Monday, September 24, 2019 at Ely Manor in Allegan.

He was born December 19, 1938. Gerald had worked as a roughneck on the oil rigs and was a member of the Iron Workers Union. He had lived at River Court AFC Home in Otsego for several years. Gerald was handy with a hammer and in his free time enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and going to the movies.

Surviving are his son, Bruce (Sue) Hersha; special friends and caretakers, Joe McIllwain, Brandy VanOrder and Beverly Kluzak who were like family to Gerald and his guardian, Lori Mills.

Friends may gather for a time of visiting starting at 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., with Celebrant MaryAnn DeVries officiating.

Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego.

Contributions in memory of Gerald may be made to the

Kalamazoo Nature Center
