George M. Tippen

George “Mike” Tippen passed away July 18, 2023 at his home in Plainwell.

He was born June 26, 1953 in Muskegon, the son of George and Devona (Lamb) Tippen.  For many years Mike worked for Whirlpool until his retirement. As a young man he enjoyed taking care of animals. He also enjoyed construction, hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his siblings, Darla (Bill) Strong of Kalamazoo, Gayla (Frank) Angel of Bangor, Robert (Laura) Tippen of Coloma and Charles Tippen of Texas along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Cheryl, Rick, Bill, Katie and John.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

Contributions in memory of Mike may be made to Allegan County Humane Society.
