Floyd D. Bowlby

Floyd passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.

He was born August 15, 1933 in Texas Township, the son of Arthur and Gladys (Auston) Bowlby. Floyd proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. For many years he worked as a mechanic until his retirement. In his free time Floyd enjoyed growing and canning tomatoes, averaging about 100 plants a year. He was a devoted Detroit Tigers fan. Floyd was a member of the American Legion and Otsego VFW Post #3030.

Surviving are his children, Norman McNees, Dale McNees, Marshall McNees, Penny Marshall and Sandy Curtis; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; 1 brother and 6 sisters.

A graveside service will take place at 1:00 P.M., Monday, November 15, 2021 at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park North in Kalamazoo.

Contributions in memory of Floyd may be made to Otsego VFW Post #3030.
