Donna passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at her home in Plainwell.

She was born May 21, 1938 in Plainwell, the daughter of Varsal and Donna (Livingston) Fales. Donna was a hard worker her entire life having worked for several companies in the area, most recently at Perrigo retiring in May 2004.

In her free time she enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of her lawn, fishing and traveling. Donna had been on many area bowling leagues and also liked playing cards. Donna was a people person and liked visiting with her family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Jack (Renee) Helms of Kalamazoo, Frank Helms, Elizabeth (Oran) Holloway of Plainwell and Gordon (Karen) Helms of Plainwell; 19 grandchildren and her brother, Robert (Edna) Fales of Petoskey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane Minshall; a granddaughter and siblings, Marie, Luella and Leon.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place.

Burial of ashes will be held at 11:30 A.M., Friday, September 2, 2022 at Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell.

To Family: So sorry to hear of Donna Jeans passing. I have not seen her in yeas. I will best remember Donna for fixing my hair the day I got married. in 1960. She did a beautiful job. If I recall she was a beautician . Donna and I are related as her mother and my mother were first cousins. May She Rest In Peace.

This lady was the best grandma anyone could ask for. I will miss her dearly, I know her wings were ready but my heart was not!!!! I love you so much grandma, there won’t be a day that goes by that I won’t miss you!!!! Sending my most sincerest heartfelt love and prayers to my family.
