Bud is safely home with Jesus. He died peacefully May 29, 2025, at Trillium Woods Faith Hospice in Byron Center.
Bud was born on September 27, 1939, at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was a 1958 graduate of Otsego High School and proudly served his country in the US Navy being discharged in 1963.
Bud worked for North American Aluminum as a management supervisor and was number one in their safety program for many years. He also worked for B & G manufacturing, then went to work for Auto Traders as a circulation manager. For the last 7 years he worked at Perrigo. After retirement he worked several part-time jobs, delivering Auto Trader Books, Home books, RX optical delivering eyeglasses, delivering auto RV books and delivering flowers for Plainwell Flowers. He was a very dependable and hard worker.
He was always willing to lend his heart and hands to give love and serve God and others. He loved the Lord and attended the Otsego Church of God for many years with 4 different pastors. He was a custodian, usher and member of the board of Trustees. Bud was part of the wedding committee, Stephen’s Ministry program and took a mission trip to Honduras.
Bud was a Boy Scout leader along with Don Bartels and Lloyd Welcher while his son Michael was growing up. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, camping, picnics and lots of traveling, working outdoors, being a social butterfly and helping others. He loved and enjoyed his home and family.
He is survived by his wife Charlette of 67 years and his 4 children, Sherri (Jodie) Gilson, Shelley (Steve) Mueller, Lori (Bryan) Winn and son Micheal (Lisa Kay) Livingston; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; his siblings, Gary (Sherry) Livingston, Bernie (Barb) Livingston, Terry (Bruce) Drake; several nieces and nephews.
Bud was a special, amazing blessing gift from God. He was kind, patient, loving, caring, giving, forgiving and dependable. His gentleness is evident to all who knew him. His family thanks and praises the Lord God almighty for all his goodness and all the precious memories.
Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 6-8 P.M. at the Otsego Church of God where a Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 27, 2025 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Stephen Burrow officiating. A luncheon will follow the service.

The family would like to express a special thank you to everyone who cared for Bud during his stay at Trillium Woods, the staff nurses, the aides, Faith Hospice. It was the kindest, loving, caring, comforting, peaceful, beautiful place to be in your final war with pain in this life. Special thanks to Katrina Cripps, Melissa, April and Kim too. It was all so wonderful.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Bud may be directed to Otsego Church of God or Faith Hospice Trillium Woods.
