David N. Dalrymple

Dave went home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 26, 2019 at Diana’s Care in Otsego.

He was born February 26, 1946 in Otsego, the son of Oscar and Rebecca (Kaylor) Dalrymple. Dave proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He had worked in IT for 30 years at many different companies including Duo Tang, Allegan General Hospital, Parker Hannifin, Carson City Hospital, Pine Rest Hospital and AR Med until his retirement in 2008.

In his free time Dave enjoyed fishing for bluegill and pan fish, riding his motorcycle, reading, researching history and painting ceramics. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. On September 30, 1965 he married Betty Jo Punches.

Surviving are his children, David (Jennifer) Dalrymple of Otsego, Amy Bennett of Otsego and Michael (Jennifer) Dalrymple of Kalamazoo; Dan (Jessye) Anway of Otsego, who was like a son to Dave; grandchildren, Liam, Alyson, Allison, Nikos, Sierra, Elisa, Elijah, Ruth-Ann, Amber, Tylier, Raegyn and Nixyn; great-grandchildren, Lylah, Freya and Chloe; his ex-wife who remained a close friend, Jody Anway; siblings, Pauline (Dick) Northrup and Roger (Dixie) Dalrymple along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

Friends may visit with Dave’s family starting at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 P.M., with Pastor Kevin Smith officiating.

Burial of ashes will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego.

Military Honors by VFW Post #3030.

DEAR FAMILY, SO SORRY TO HEAR OF DAVE’S PASSING, I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH HIM, WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER WHAT A VERY PLEASANT AND NICE PERSON HE WAS, JUST SO KIND! THEN OF COURSE KNEW HIM WELL WHEN HE MARRIED MY COUSIN JODY. HE IS WITH GOD NOW AND JUST KNOW HE IS SMILING AND GREETING OLD FRIENDS AND FAMILY THERE. PRAYING FOR YOU ALL.
