Danny E. Long

Danny passed away, Thursday, May 16, 2024, at his home in Allegan.

He was born August 15, 1963, in Allegan, the son of Wilbur and Nancy (Aukerman) Long. Danny worked at Hamilton Farm Bureau for almost 20 years and for Plumbers Portable Toilets for 15 years until his health started to deteriorate and he retired. 

Danny loved nothing more than taking a road trip or a drive through the country, with the windows down and the sun on his arm. He loved hunting, fishing and buying and selling cars. 

Surviving are his children, Justin Long and Brandy (JB) Long; grandchildren, Dominiqe and Rylee Long; stepchildren, Stormy Grissom and William Walls; stepbrother, Jeff Merriam; Aunt Judy and Uncle Les Witters; cousins Jody Witters and Les Witters; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Brownie. 

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Nancy and Carl Merriam and siblings, Wayne, Robert, Michael, Ruthann, Don and Bill.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place. 

A celebration of Danny’s life will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, starting at 6:00 P.M., at the home of his daughter Brandy.
