He is also survived by his sisters, Gail (Don) Ring of Kentucky, Elaine Edmonds of Grand Rapids, and Mary Fischer (Adriana) of Colorado.

He will be fondly remembered by sister-in-law, Gail (Maria) Yager of Dripping Springs, TX, as well as his stepchildren: Ryan (Allison) Shaltry of Waterford, MI; Justin (Natalie) Shaltry of Augusta, MI; Derek Shaltry of Tennessee; and Dana Rogers (née Shaltry) of Otsego, MI.

Dallas also leaves behind his cherished step-grandchildren: Piper Chadwick, Vivian Shaltry, Breck Rogers, Cade Rogers, and Myles Knight-Shaltry.

He was predeceased by his father, Eugene Fischer; his mother, Lona (Fiedler) Fischer; and his stepmother, Audrey Fischer.

Before kidney and heart failure limited their ability to travel, Dallas and Lynn enjoyed several wonderful years wintering in Texas and hiking the beautiful Hill Country near Austin.

He was loved dearly by his two dogs, Ellie and Odie.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
