Dale passed away, Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at his home in Allegan. 

He was born July 9, 1950, in Chicago, the son of Harold and Carolyn (Plinski) Ohlson. Dale proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. For many years he was a long-haul truck driver until his retirement. 

Dale was a family man and liked tinkering in his garage, fixing cars and mowing his yard. He enjoyed nothing more than having a cold beer, a cigar and watching NASCAR.  Dale was a member of the Otsego VFW Post #3030. In 1992 in Chicago, he married Janice Fuller who survives. 

Also surviving are his children, Vida (Steve) True, David Fuller-Weith and Richard Ohlson; grandchildren, Sam, Mazzy, Zada, Jacob and Jace; brother, Lionel Ohlson; niece Yvonne and nephew, Eric. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Friends may visit with Dale’s family from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Monday, May 13. 2024 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 14, 2024, with Pastor Paul Hays officiating. 

Burial will take place at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta.

Contributions in memory of Dale may be made to Boys Town.
