Clyde J. Foupht

Clyde passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at his home in Martin. 

He was born May 24, 1942, in Plainwell, the son of Maurice and Elaine (Van Antwerp) Foupht. Clyde graduated from Otsego High School in 1962. He was a lifelong supporter of the Otsego Bulldogs sports teams and attended many football and basketball games over the years. For many years he worked at Mead Paper and retired from Rock Tenn Paper Mill in the late 90’s. Clyde took great pride in keeping his lawn looking sharp. He enjoyed duck and goose hunting and following UofM Football and basketball and was also an avid Detroit Tigers fan. 

Surviving are his children, Steve Foupht and Marcia Avila; stepsons, James (Kim Sitton) Klok and Brian (Julie) Klok; 12 grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Ronald, Lena, Lyndon, Chelsea, Stevie, Christopher, Danielle, Shelby, Hannah and Alicyn; great-granddaughter, Serenity; siblings, Charles (Cora), Charlotte and Ileen along with several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Todd; brother-in-law, Bud Livingston and sister-in-law, Linda Foupht. 

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.
